The level begins immediately after the opening tutorial. It introduces the Samurai character and Classic beats. Samurai Techno is the first level in the game. The Night Shift version is Samurai Dubstep. If the player fails either of the two levels he is featured in, his head will fall off during the fail scene. Samurai Techno, also known as Oriental Techno or Koto Shoko Techno (1-1) is a level in Rhythm Doctor. This character bears many resemblances to "Zero" from the game Katana Zero.Although Insomniac has 7/8th of a heart left at the end of Super Battleworn Insomniac, he has a full heart in Helping Hands. However, both are also referred to by name by at least one character. He and Samurai are referred to as “the two guys with the swords".Central to this representation is Euro-American anxiety over the economic success of East Asian nation-states. Insomniac talks the least out of any human character in the game, with only one piece of dialogue. Techno-orientalism was coined by David Morley and Kevin Robins in Spaces of Identity to index representations of the Far East in US media. It was an asian american artist I think, the song opens with beatboxing, and the music video swaps between an almost white void and a busy nightclub.Despite the fact that his songs are some of the most well known, Insomniac himself isn’t.

He has brown skin and his hair is in a dark ponytail with a dark blue hair tie. He holds a sword, which he swings around when he is excited. Insomniac is left with 7/8th of a heart by the end of the game due to Connectifia Abortus.

The levels Insomniac is featured in ( Battleworn Insomniac and Super Battleworn Insomniac) are extremely difficult due to their glitchy nature, despite only requiring inputs on the seventh beat. Insomniac is a patient in Rhythm Doctor who is likely of East Asia origins.
